Kristall MEZ

The sponsor's name came first, and the club followed it: Kristall MEZ took shape in Borisoglebsk in 2016 around Maslo-Ekstraktsionny Zavod Tretyakovsky, the oil-extraction plant whose initials still sit in the name — some records list it as Kristall-MEZT.

Home games are played at the Borisoglebsky sports complex, a ground that used to carry the name Spartak and holds 2,444. The kit is built around yellow and black — yellow shirts and socks, a black goalkeeper's jersey — with blue and white kept for the club badge and the scarves and flags fans carry rather than for the players.

What Kristall MEZ has done on the pitch has come in bursts. The club won the Voronezh Region Governor's Cup in 2020, took the regional championship's first group in 2023, then went one better in 2025, winning the SFF Centre championship — a title that stands as the men's crown for the Central and Southern federal districts, presented on 22 December 2025. In the 2026/27 Russian Cup, the club's regional run included a 3-0 win over Belgorod's Salyut before Kursk's Avangard eliminated them on penalties, 5-4 after a 1-1 draw.

Midfielder Dmitry Sapelnikov captains the side under head coach Sergei Gavrilov. In the 2026 SFF Centre Cup, the club reached the semi-final and drew 2-2 with Smolensk's University of Sport, the holders.

The sharper rivalry, though, runs closer to home. Kristall MEZ and Livny's Vityaz have spent the current SFF Centre campaign trading the lead in their group, a contest tight enough that a single result has swung it either way.
