Llandudno

Llandudno face Conwy Borough over the width of a single valley, and the fixture with Colwyn Bay carries the old North Wales coast rivalry that predates most of the club's honours board. None of it has needed a top-flight stage to matter: Llandudno spent decades in regional football before Cymru Premier football arrived at Maesdu Park at all.

The line back to 1878 runs through a side that may have been called Gloddaeth Rovers, and the club took its present name only in 1987, when Llandudno Amateurs dropped the amateur tag. What sits between those dates is mostly north Wales cup football: three North Wales Amateur Cups, the Alves Cup in 1951, the Cookson Cup in 1965, three Welsh League (North) titles either side of the war years. None of it reads as preparation for the national stage, because for most of the club's history there wasn't one to reach.

That changed after 2010. Llandudno reached the Welsh Cup final in 2011/12 and lost 0-2 to The New Saints, then won the Cymru Alliance in 2014/15 to go up, and finished third in Cymru Premier the following season — still the club's highest league placing. Relegation followed, and Llandudno spent the 2020s working back through Cymru North, losing a play-off there in 2021/22 before finally taking the title outright in 2025/26 and going back up.

Maesdu Park, known locally as the Go Goodwins Stadium, holds 3,000, of which 1,100 are seated — modest even by Cymru Premier standards, and unchanged through all the promotions and relegations. The black-and-white stripes have earned the players the nickname the Seasiders, plain enough for a club that has never left the coast it's named after.

Conwy Borough remain the nearest name on the fixture list and the sharpest one.
