MoraBanc Andorra

It began in 1970 as Club de Basket Les Escaldes and took its current name the following April. The blue, yellow and red of the Andorran flag, with white added, gave it the nickname Els Tricolors. A title in the 1ª División B in 1992 carried it up to the top flight, then called the Liga ABA. It finished eighth in 1994–95 and reached the quarterfinals. By 1996 money had run out. The club gave up its place in the second division and dropped into regional Catalan leagues, where it stayed for more than a decade.

It re-entered the national system in 2009 and climbed one rung at a time: the LEB Plata, the third tier, in 2011–12, then the LEB Oro, the second tier, in 2013–14. That promotion ended an absence from the ACB of 18 years. The same year, MoraBanc became title sponsor, and Giorgi Shermadini made the All-ACB First Team in 2017, the season the club again finished eighth and again reached the quarterfinals. Twice, in 2018–19 and 2021–22, it went as far as the EuroCup semifinals.

The rivalry that matters is with Bàsquet Girona. Both sides sit in the Catalan basketball orbit, and their meetings carry the name "Derbi Català".
