Olimpia Grudziądz

The season that took Olimpia into the second tier began with a demolition: 79 points from the third division in 2008/09. Two years later came the western group of II liga, and with it a first appearance in I liga — the level directly beneath the Ekstraklasa.

The best of those years was 2014/15, when Dariusz Kubicki's team finished fourth. Relegation followed in 2017/18, from seventeenth place in an eighteen-team division. Second place in 2018/19 sent Olimpia up again; a single season later they came back down.

The club has been dissolved once already. After relegation from the A-class in 1934 it simply stopped existing, and only reappeared in 1945, starting again in the B-class. Between those poles sits an afternoon in 1925 when the Polish champions, Pogoń from Lwów, came to Grudziądz.

The ground on ul. Piłsudskiego opened in 1973 and carries the name of Bronisław Malinowski, Olympic champion over 3,000 metres steeplechase in 1980, who came through Olimpia's athletics section. Undersoil heating arrived in 2013, floodlights two years after that.

The derby is with Stal Grudziądz. Olimpia are owned by the city itself, and in 2025/26, under Dawid Pędziałek, sit third in II liga.
