Patriotas Boyacá U20

Ganchinho sits on Curitiba's edges.

The Sub-20 side beat Araucária over two legs to win the Campeonato Paranaense Sub-20 this year, 3-2 on aggregate.

Patriotas play their football, at every level, in the shadow of a name shared with a Colombian club a continent away, and in the shadow of a shirt that borrows all four colours of the Brazilian flag rather than settling on two.

What the youth setup has produced in playing talent is still thin. Pablo Valoski, born in 2007, is the one name to have passed through the academy and on to a move elsewhere, and even that is a single data point rather than a pattern yet. The club has no separate training base; the same stadium that hosts the first team's Paranaense Série Prata campaign serves the Sub-20 squad as well.
