Cascavel U20

Two runners-up medals in three years mark the current chapter of this side, both lost to Athletico Paranaense in the final of the Campeonato Paranaense Sub-20, in 2023 and again in 2025. The team carries the name and the ground of a club that no longer plays under it: the youth set-up survived the move that took Cascavel Clube Recreativo out of the city altogether in February 2024, when the senior side relocated to Toledo and turned into Oeste Brasil FC. The under-20s stayed, kept the Serpente nickname, and kept competing.

That nickname traces back to Cascavel Esporte Clube, founded on 19 December 1979. The club dissolved in 2001, folded into a merger with Cascavel S/A and SOREC that produced CCR — the body whose academy now fields this under-20 team.

Home games are played at the Estádio Olímpico Regional Arnaldo Bussato, and the fixture against Toledo still draws the old label, Clássico da Soja, a name that outlasted the geography that once made it local. The match against FC Cascavel, the Clássico do Veneno, has kept its bite regardless of which senior club carries the city's name.

28,125 is the number of seats waiting for a first team that, for now, belongs to a different city.
