RFS Women beat Riga 1-0 in the 2024 cup final; in the summer of 2025 Riga answered by taking the first Latvian Supercup off them, 4-2.

The club exists because Riga FC decided its women's side should stand on its own. Registered as a society on 14 February 2024, it stepped straight into the top flight in the place vacated by Super Nova. Igors Kļosovs took the debut season and won it — 19 wins from 21 matches, and the league's coach of the year award. He left in August 2025.

The 2025 league season finished without a defeat. The cup final that year ended 7-0 against Auda.

Europe came quickly too. In the 2025/26 Champions League the club knocked out Wrexham 4-1 and reached the second qualifying round.

Home matches are at Skonto Stadium, which holds 6,747 for football. In the second title season Riga finished on 72 points from 24 matches.
