Trutnov

MFK Trutnov plays out a Krkonoše-region calendar.

It started in 1921 as Sportovní kroužek Trutnov, then went through names the way clubs did under changing regimes — Slavoj, Altus, back to plain SK Trutnov after the war, then Konzum, then ČSD, then, once the state folded it into the tělovýchovná jednota system in 1953, TJ Lokomotiva Trutnov. The current club, MFK Trutnov, dates only to 2012, when FK Trutnov merged with SK Horní Staré Město.

One season stands above the rest: 1995/96, when the club, then playing as FK Trutnov, won the Královéhradecký krajský přebor and earned promotion to the Česká fotbalová liga, the country's second tier — the highest level the club has reached.

The academy's name is Rudolf Skácel, who left Trutnov to play for Slavia, Marseille, Southampton and Hearts, and won caps for the Czech national team. Milan Matula, who went on to Slovan Liberec and the national side, and Jan Blažek, who won Czech titles with Slavia and Slovan, are also notable alumni.

Home games are played at Stadion Osvobození, in the club's blue and silver. Ing. Vladimír Marks chairs the club.
