tst Fodbold

The autumn of 2023 gave tst Fodbold a memorable cup run. Playing in Jyllandsserie 1, the club came through the first round of the DBU Pokalen on penalties against Vejgaard BK, 3-2, then needed extra time to see off Næsby BK. That put it into the main draw for the first time, and into a third-round tie with Vejle Boldklub that ended 0-7.

Vejle was the point, in a way. Mathias Balleby, who described the setup in an interview in September 2023, put the club's rise at four promotions in a row — built, he said, on two training sessions a week and the company. The website still carries the line the founders would recognise: Forstadens hyggeligste fodboldklub, the suburb's cosiest football club.

The men's second team went up to Serie 2 in October 2025, which says more about how the club has grown sideways than the cup run does. So does its recognition under the DBU's Børneklub scheme for children's football — the one award tst Fodbold puts in front of its own name.

Home is Tilst Idrætsanlæg, off Tilst Skolevej in Tilst, on the north-western edge of Aarhus, with room for about 500. The club's facilities sit inside the tst Aktiv-Center, which has housed the wider tst organisation since 2012 — a sports hall and a set of pitches in a suburb of a few thousand people, where the same building holds the training on Tuesday and the cup draw on the noticeboard.
