Levante sit across the same city, and the meetings are known as the Derbi del Túria.
Those six came in three widely spaced bursts. Alfredo Di Stéfano took the 1971 title as a coach.
Mario Kempes, a world champion with Argentina in 1978, was in that side and scored 149 goals in his time at the club.
Mestalla holds 49,430 and has done the job for a long time. A replacement, Nou Mestalla, was begun in 2005 and abandoned in 2009 when the money ran out; it stands unfinished still. In 2014 the Singaporean businessman Peter Lim bought 70.4% of the shares through Meriton Holdings, and the president Amadeo Salvo resigned the following year after falling out with the new owners.
