Vis Pesaro

In the Serie C2 play-off final of 1999–2000 they beat Rimini and went up to Serie C1. In May 2025 the two met again in a Serie C play-off tie with a place in Serie B at stake, and drew 1–1.

Serie B is the line the club has never crossed. Since 1929 there has been no season above the third tier, which makes the promotions that did happen the ones people count. Walter Nicoletti took the club out of Serie D and up to Serie C1 across two consecutive title-winning campaigns between 1986 and 1988.

The club was founded in 1898 as Vis Sauro Pesaro. In 1993 the old company was sold under financial pressure and a new one carried the side back into Serie C. That company went under in 2006, and what replaced it was an amateur outfit starting again in the regional divisions, which merged with Villa Pesaro two years later. The historic name came back in 2009, on promotion to Eccellenza, and Serie D followed in 2011.

Marco Nappi passed through in 1986–87, before Fiorentina, Genoa and Udinese; Renato Olive left in 1998 and became a fixture in Perugia's Serie A midfield. Luca Pagliaglia, who played here at the turn of the 1990s, came back as manager in 2014.
