The name people in Votorantim actually use for this club has nothing to do with a person or a place — Concrete Tiger, Red and white on the shirt, a squad built by a group of businessmen from the company Cascadura, who put the club together in 2005 with that industry stamped into its identity from the start.

The one season worth remembering is 2009. Under Fernando Diniz, Votoraty won the Campeonato Paulista Série A3 and the Copa Paulista in the same year, a double. Raphael Martinho played in that side before moving on to Serie A with Catania and Verona; Beto Cavalcante wore the captain's armband.

It did not last. A ninth-place finish in the Série A2 the following year was followed by the sale of the club's CNPJ, and the professional side simply stopped existing. The Estádio Municipal Domênico Paolo Mettidieri, holding just over a thousand people, sat without the football that had briefly made it relevant beyond the neighbourhood.

Votoraty kept running youth categories from 2019 onward, and in January 2024 the club announced it was building football back up from that base again. For now, that youth structure is what Concrete Tiger actually is on the ground.
