The Estádio Municipal Antônio Soares de Oliveira holds just 6,235 people. Locals call it the Tranquilão, and it is here that Guarulhos plays out its matches in the Campeonato Paulista Segunda Divisão.

Those roots go back to 1964, when a group in the Vila das Palmeiras neighbourhood formed Associação Desportiva Vila das Palmeiras. The club had already taken shape on the field.

The senior side came closest to something in that same year, 1994, finishing runner-up in the Campeonato Paulista Série A4. Since then the honours have come from the academy rather than the first team: the Sub-17 categories won the Copa São Paulo de Futebol in 2015 and the Paulista Cup in 2019, with a Sub-19 regional title, the Taça Condemat, following in 2018.
