Sporting Paulinense

Sporting Paulinense are playing in the Campeonato Paulista Segunda Divisão this season. The club spent most of its existence as a youth academy, growing out of social projects in Paulínia known as Associação Desportiva Novos Talentos and Gol de Placa, and only affiliated with the Federação Paulista de Futebol in 2024. Professional status followed in early 2026.

The promotion that made this season possible was earned by the club's youngest side, not its first team. In 2025 the Sub-20 squad beat Porto FC 2–1 in the final of the Campeonato Paulista Sub-20 Série B, a result that moved the club up to the elite category for 2026 and stands as its only major title so far.

The academy shaped the club's identity before the senior team existed to carry it. Supporters go by "Sportinguistas", and graduates of the youth system are known locally as "Crias da Fênix" — chicks of the Phoenix, a nickname tied to the club's black-and-yellow colours and its mascot. It fits a club that spent years developing players with no professional stage of its own to put them on.

Home games are played at the Estádio Municipal Luís Perissinotto. Across town, Paulínia Futebol Universitário provide the club's sharpest rivalry, fought out mainly at youth level in what locals call the Dérbi de Paulínia.

No player has yet come through Sporting Paulinense's academy and built a name beyond Paulínia — the professional side is too new for that.
