Çorum FK go into this season having come through a play-off semi-final in the 1. Lig in 2023/24. The club's league run in the Turkish Cup ended in the third round of 2024/25, beaten 0-1 by Kasımpaşa.

The team traces back to 1997, formed in Çorum as Çorum Belediyespor. The breakthrough came in 2011/12, when the club won the Regional Amateur League and reached TFF 3. Lig for the first time. Çorum Belediyespor reached the 3. Lig play-off final in 2014/15 and lost 1-3 to İstanbulspor.

Playing under the new name, the side won the 2018/19 3. Lig play-off final, beating Serik Belediyespor 4-2 on penalties to move up to the 2. Lig. A year later, in December 2019, the club changed name again, to Çorum Futbol Kulübü, following a merger with the old Çorumspor. It later took on the sponsored name Arca Çorum FK.

The 2. Lig title arrived in the 2022/23 season, sending the club straight up to the 1. Lig. Home games are played at the Çorum Şehir Stadyumu, which holds 15,000, in place of the older Dr. Turhan Kılıççıoğlu Stadyumu the club once used. The colours are red and black, worn since 2014, when the club moved away from its earlier blue and white.
