Estadio Refundación
Cruz Azul's name attaches itself to grounds the way few Mexican clubs do, and here the ownership runs deeper than a sponsorship deal: Jasso is not merely a town with a stadium, it is a company settlement built around the cement cooperative that founded the club, and the ground carries the same civic identity as the streets around it. Estadio Refundación opened in 1963 as Estadio 10 de Diciembre, and Cruz Azul's first team used it until 1971, before the senior side moved on to bigger grounds in Mexico City and left this one to the reserve and lower-category sides — Cruz Azul Premier from 2015 to 2018, then the women's team through 2020.
For six years after that the ground had no fixed tenant of note, a stadium sized for a company town rather than a First Division crowd, holding 7,761 on natural grass at Avenida Matamoros No. 1056. That changed with the 2026 promotion of Cruz Azul Hidalgo into the Liga de Expansión MX, returning senior competitive football to the site where the club's own history began, sixty-three years after it opened under a different name.
The rebranding to Refundación — "refoundation" — marks that return rather than any redevelopment of the fabric of the place; the capacity and the pitch remain those of a stadium built for a cooperative's own workers, not for a league campaign.
