About the player
Alan Barrionuevo came through the youth ranks at Almirante Brown and made his senior debut for the club in 2017. He was part of the squad that won the Primera B Metropolitana in 2020, taking Almirante Brown up to the Primera Nacional, and later started as the club reached the 2023 Primera Nacional promotion final, finishing as runners-up.
A loan spell at Central Córdoba (SdE) in 2022 brought five appearances in the Liga Profesional Argentina, before he returned to Almirante Brown for the first half of 2023. His move to Deportivo Riestra on loan in December 2023: across the 2024 season he made around 39 appearances in all competitions, 25 of them in the Liga Profesional de Fútbol, scoring twice — including goals against Rosario Central and River Plate.
That run at Riestra led to a permanent move to Tigre in January 2025, with the club taking on 80% of his playing rights. Barrionuevo has no senior caps for Argentina, though he did feature in a 2019 friendly for Almirante Brown against the Argentina under-23 side, a match his team lost 3–2.
