Johan Torres

Johan Torres came through the youth ranks in Cali, moving from Talentos FC into the Santa Fe cantera, where his form caught the eye of coach Léider Preciado. He was promoted to the first team without a transfer fee and made his professional debut for Santa Fe in August 2022, and has stayed at the club ever since without a single loan spell away.

A right-footed midfielder who can play either as a defensive or central midfielder, Torres has built a substantial body of work in Santa Fe colours: 129 appearances in the Categoría Primera A with four goals, alongside spells in the Copa Colombia, Copa Sudamericana, Copa Libertadores and the Superliga de Colombia. He was part of the Santa Fe squad that won the Torneo Apertura in 2025 and added the Superliga de Colombia the following year.

His progress at club level drew interest from abroad, with Watford and Manchester City both said to have scouted him in 2022. Internationally, Torres has represented Colombia at youth level, featuring for the U20 side at the 2023 South American U-20 Championship and the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and later earning call-ups to the U23 squad for the 2024 Pre-Olympic Tournament. A senior national team call-up has yet to follow.
