Joaquín Marcelo Laso

Joaquín Laso returned to Tigre in January 2025, back at the club where his career began — he had come through the youth ranks there between 2009 and 2011 without ever making a first-team appearance. That path ran through Argentina's lower divisions: at Huracán de Tres Arroyos he scored twice in 25 games in the Torneo Argentino B, then at Sportivo Italiano he was part of the side that won the Primera C Metropolitana in 2014 and went up to Primera B Metropolitana.

He made 58 appearances for Argentinos Juniors and won the Primera B Nacional title in the 2016–17 season to reach the Primera División. A free transfer took him to Vélez Sarsfield in January 2018, and from there to Mexico, where he signed for Atlético San Luis in June 2019. That move soured: his contract was ended by mutual consent in January 2020 amid a dispute over unpaid wages, and FIFA subsequently ordered the club to pay him $1.5 million.

Back in Argentina, Laso joined Rosario Central on a free transfer in 2020, scoring twice in 27 appearances, before moving to Independiente in June 2021. He stayed until 2025, making 85 appearances and scoring four goals for the club. Laso has not been capped by the Argentina senior side. He has made 44 appearances in his second spell at Tigre.
