About the player
Marco Huamán came up through the youth ranks at Sport Huancayo, the club from his home city of Huancayo, and made his senior debut there in March 2021. That decision opened the door to Alianza Lima, which he joined as a free agent in January 2024.
His path at Alianza took an unexpected turn in January 2026, when he was loaned out to Cienciano for pre-season work. Back at Alianza, Huamán established himself as a starter and was part of the squad that won the Torneo Apertura 2026.
At international level, Huamán earned his first cap for Peru in December 2025, starting in a 2–0 win over Bolivia. He started again in a 2–2 draw with Honduras in March 2026, and came on as a substitute in a defeat to Spain in June 2026, taking his tally to three appearances for the national side.
