Martin Palacios

Martín Palacios came through Independiente Santa Fe's youth system, moving up from the U20 side to the first team in July 2025 without ever turning out for another senior club. The left-footed forward, who plays out on the left wing, made the step up straight into a squad fighting on multiple fronts, and within months he had two league titles on his record: the 2025 Apertura, won against Independiente Medellín, and the 2026 Superliga, sealed with a 4-1 aggregate win over Atlético Junior.

Both triumphs came before Palacios had established himself as a regular starter. He was left out of the starting eleven in each final and has featured mostly from the bench, including in a number of the club's key fixtures through 2026, without yet registering a goal or an assist in his early appearances. For a teenager, the medals have arrived faster than the minutes on the pitch.

What comes next for Palacios is establishing himself as a fixture in the side rather than a squad member collecting winner's medals from the bench.
