Rodrigo Rodriguez

Rodrigo Rodríguez has spent his career in transit, moving between clubs across Uruguay, Honduras and now Ecuador. Born in Paysandú, he came up through Liverpool Montevideo's youth ranks over seven years before making his senior debut with CA Juventud in 2019 on a free transfer. He stayed at Juventud until 2023, then moved on to CS Cerrito.

A switch to Honduran football followed in January 2024, when he joined CD Real Sociedad in Tocoa, spending a season there before returning home to Uruguay. That return, to Albion FC in Montevideo in January 2025, saw Albion win the Uruguayan Segunda División title that year, earning promotion to the Primera División. The same squad also reached the Torneo Competencia, though they finished third in their group rather than winning that stage.

Rodríguez's move to Macará in Ecuador's Serie A, agreed in January 2026, came as a free transfer. Internationally, his only representative football has come at youth level, having debuted for Uruguay's under-20 side in a friendly against Chile back in 2014; he has not been capped by the senior national team.
