There is no derby to speak of yet. FC Lochin has not been in Uzbekistan's top flight long enough to collect an enemy, and the club that shares its name in the older record books, Shurchi-Lochin of Surkhandarya, belongs to a different city and a different era — it played in the First League between 1995 and 2010 under a string of names before this one, and the two are not the same institution.

Lochin plays out of Kashka, in Kashkadarya province, and its own record only opens in 2020, s that track it. What is firmer is the date it joined the professional pyramid: in April 2025 the club was confirmed as a member of the Uzbekistan Professional Football League. Local reporting around the same period described the team as one still finding its footing rather than one arriving with pedigree.

Home matches are played at Geolog Stadium in Kashka, a ground with room for 11,000 that made local news last winter for a more mundane reason — it needed clearing of snow, along with the city's other main stadium, before games could go ahead.

The 2026 season opened with Eldor Moyliev in the dugout, brought in after a spell at Shurtan. No trophy sits in the club's cabinet yet in Uzbekistan's official competitions; the closest thing to silverware attached to the Lochin name this year belongs to a separate side altogether, a diaspora team of the same name in Kansas that won a Navruz Cup among Uzbek communities in the United States, a result that has nothing to do with the league table in Kashka.

What Lochin has, for now, is the fact of its arrival — a club still working out, match by match, what it will be known for.
