Rosenborg Women

Before that title, the name carried more weight in the record books than on the pitch: seven Toppserien championships, all won between 1994 and 2003.

The club did not start life as Rosenborg. It was founded on 18 May 1917 as Sportsklubben Trondheims-Ørn, a multi-sport club, and only fielded a women's football section from 1972. It kept the Trondheims-Ørn name through its entire trophy-winning run of the 1990s and early 2000s. The rebrand came in February 2020, when the section merged with Rosenborg BK and switched from blue and white to Rosenborg's red, yellow and black.

Home games are played at Koteng Arena in Lade, a ground that holds 895.

Of the players who wore the shirt before the merger, Guro Reiten is the name that travelled furthest from Trondheim.
