MK Beer Sheva 20:39 MK Holon: Division 1 Match Result

Match report

Beitar Beer-Sheva beat Holon 39:20 in Division 1 on Thursday, September 18, 2026. The home side took all three points from their opening fixture, while Holon remained winless after their first game of the season.

Beitar moved to second in the table with two points from one match, having won their only outing. Holon sat in twelfth place with zero points after recording a draw in their opening fixture.

Beitar came into this fixture having lost their last three meetings with Holon, including a 31:41 defeat in April. They had also suffered heavy losses against Nes-Tsiona and Maccabi Leiyun in previous seasons, but this result changed the pattern.

Holon had drawn their opener against Albatros, playing two matches against the same opponent in mid-September. Their most recent outing ended 29:23, and before that they lost 36:32 to the same side.

We had tipped Holon to win, with 62 per cent confidence. The prediction was wrong. Beitar camped in the final third and didn't let the visitors settle.

The victory moved Beitar into the upper half of the table, while Holon still needed their first win after two points dropped in the opening round.
