David Antunes

David Antunes is a Chapecoense product through and through. He joined the club's under-12s in 2017, at the age of twelve, and worked his way up through every youth category without ever spending time at another academy. His senior debut came in 2023, in the Copa Santa Catarina, before he stepped into the professional league for the first time on 24 November 2024, in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B.

The left-footed midfielder became a regular starter through 2025, a season in which Chapecoense secured promotion to the Série A. He has since made appearances in both the top flight and Série B, alongside outings in domestic cups and the state league, without yet finding the net.

There have been no transfer fees attached to his name — a homegrown player, his entire footballing life has run through the one club — and no individual honours to date. He has also not featured for any Brazilian national team at senior or youth level. For now, his story remains that of a local academy graduate who broke through at the club where he grew up.
