Kauã Pascini's route to the Atlético Mineiro first team started far from Belo Horizonte. He switched to Atlético Mineiro's academy in 2022, and it was there that his game matured: as part of the side that won the 2025 Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-17, he played 14 matches, scored three goals and set up nine more, numbers that stood out enough to earn him a call-up to the Brazil under-16 squad for a training camp ahead of the South American championship. A month later, in April 2024, he was named the best player at the Benfica Campus Sub-17 tournament.

The breakthrough into senior football came in January 2026, when Atlético Mineiro promoted him to the first team and tied him to a contract running to 2030. He made his debut for the club in the Campeonato Mineiro against Betim that same month, then stepped up to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A in April against Chapecoense. By May he had made half a dozen or so appearances across the season, including in the Copa Sudamericana and the Copa do Brasil.

That form fed back into the national set-up: in May 2026 Pascini received a call-up to the Brazil under-20 squad on the back of his displays for Atlético Mineiro. He is yet to add a senior trophy or individual award to the youth honours already on his record.
