Marcos Rocha

Marcos Rocha came up through the Atlético Mineiro academy, before a run of loan spells took him to Uberlândia, CRB, Ponte Preta and América-MG. That stretch away from Belo Horizonte doubled as an apprenticeship in senior football, and when he returned to Atlético Mineiro in 2012 he settled in as a regular starter, making 306 appearances for the club through 2018.

A loan to Palmeiras in December 2017, arranged as part of a swap deal involving Róger Guedes, preceded a permanent move. Palmeiras made the move permanent in January 2019 for a fee of around R$ 8 million. What followed was the most decorated spell of his career: two Copa Libertadores titles, three Campeonato Brasileiro Série A championships, a Copa do Brasil, a Recopa Sudamericana, a Supercopa do Brasil and four Campeonato Paulista titles.

Individually, Rocha was selected to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A Team of the Year on multiple occasions. He was also named the best right-back in Brazil in 2014 and 2019, and picked up a South American Team of the Year nod in 2013. That form brought two caps for the Brazil national team in 2013.

He left Palmeiras in August 2025 for Grêmio, making his debut against Ceará later that month.
