Tete

Tete came through São Paulo's academy at Cotia, and his breakthrough moment arrived with the club's youth side rather than the first team: he was part of the squad that won the 2025 Copinha, then returned twelve months later to help São Paulo reach the final of the 2026 edition of the tournament, where they finished runners-up. That run through the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior is what put his name in front of a wider audience.

The step up to senior football has been gradual. Under Roger Machado and later Dorival Júnior, minutes were hard to come by, and Tete made six or seven appearances for the first team, totalling around 122 minutes on the pitch. The limited game time meant spells back with the under-20 squad rather than a settled place in the matchday XI.

Interest from abroad has moved faster than his first-team career. Ajax proposed a loan with an obligation to buy worth €10 million for 80% of his economic rights, contingent on performance targets being met. By August 2026, though, the talks had lost momentum.
