Wallace

Wallace Fortuna dos Santos, better known simply as Wallace, arrived in Brazilian football through Cruzeiro, where he won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A in 2013 and the Campeonato Mineiro in 2014 before Europe came calling. He was loaned to Monaco, where he spent two seasons and made 40 appearances in Ligue 1. In 2016, Lazio paid €8 million for him; during his time in Rome he won the Coppa Italia in 2018–19 and the Supercoppa Italiana in 2017, and his market value climbed to a peak of €9.9 million in December 2015.

A loan back to Braga in 2019–20 brought a Taça de Liga title, after which his contract with Lazio was terminated by mutual consent and he signed for Yeni Malatyaspor in Turkey. From there his career took him further afield: a move to Wuhan Three Towns in China in February 2022 yielded a Chinese FA Super Cup in 2023, followed by two seasons in the United Arab Emirates with Ittihad Kalba.

Wallace never earned a senior cap for Brazil, but he was part of the Brazil under-20 squad that won the Toulon Tournament in both 2013 and 2014. After a brief spell at Atlético Goianiense in early 2025, he signed for Botafogo SP as a free agent in January 2026, where he now wears the number 13 shirt.
