The pitch at Ammanford Recreation Ground holds barely a thousand people.
Town's own story ran back further and started with an odd act of generosity. That side took the Betws name until 1960, when it became Ammanford Town, and it was under that name that the club won the Welsh Football League Division One title in 1965–66.
The fixture that still matters most is the one against Pontardawe Town, played out under a title of its own, the Battle of the Black and Whites.
None of it has needed a bigger ground than 1,000.
