Paul Reid played twenty games for Afan Lido in the 2004/05 season. He came back to Marston Stadium in a different role, taking charge as manager from 2012 to 2013.
The Welsh Football League Cup followed twice more, in 2006/07 and 2008/09. The league title itself has stayed out of reach; the closest the club came was second place in 1994/95, a finish that carried them into the UEFA Cup.
