Every meeting with Lugi HF at Helsingborg Arena still carries the old Skåne weight, a tie that outlasts league position or form. OV Helsingborg HK Damer arrived at that rivalry as the newer half of a merger.
The men's side did the winning that fills the trophy cabinet, all credited to Vikingarnas IF before the merger. The women's team has built its reputation differently, through a run to the Final4 of the ATG Svenska Cupen in the 2024/2025 season and through Alice Hirsch, who finished as top scorer in Damallsvenskan in 2023/2024.
What the women's team has not managed is a championship of its own.
