Swedish Cup Women (Sweden) 2026/27

The Swedish Women's Handball Cup is the primary domestic knockout tournament for the sport in Sweden, organised by the Swedish Handball Federation. It operates alongside the league structure as a separate major title. Unlike the league, which determines the national champion through consistent play, this cup is an open competition for clubs with representative teams across various tiers, without promotion or relegation implications.

The competition has a complex history. It was first held for men only between 1967 and 1971. It was revived in 1979 as the 'Jubileumscupen' to mark the Federation's 50th anniversary and ran until 1990, when it was discontinued due to the introduction of the 'Elitserien' league system. The tournament returned in 2021 as the 'ATG Svenska Cupen' after the league structure changed again. The current format includes a district qualification phase, followed by a group stage of 32 teams divided into eight groups. The top two teams from each group advance to a knockout round of 16, leading to quarter-finals and semi-finals.

The tournament culminates in a 'Final4' weekend, where the semi-finals, bronze match, and final are played as single matches at a neutral venue. Recent finals have been held in Alingsås or Skövde. Winning the cup grants qualification for the EHF Women's European League. Historically, Stockholmspolisens IF and Tyresö HF are the most successful clubs with three titles each from the earlier era. In the modern era, IK Sävehof has won twice, Skuru IK once, Höörs HK H 65 once, and Boden Handboll IF once. The 2024-25 final was won by Höörs HK H 65, defeating Skuru IK 30-18. The current season features clubs such as AIK Women, Alingsås HK Women, Aranas Women, Boden Handboll IF Women, Drott Halmstad Women, and Eskilstuna GUIF Women.
