SSA

Pituaçu was built to hold 32,157 in Salvador, and it is where SSA Futebol Clube is meant to play. Work on the ground ahead of the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup pushed the club out for the 2026 Campeonato Baiano Série B, so the season was spent inland at the Estádio Joia da Princesa in Feira de Santana.

The name is the airport code. Salvador's three letters, taken as a badge, for a club registered in August 2021. The black-and-orange kit did the rest: Shakhtar Baiano stuck almost immediately. The mascot pulls a second nickname behind it, Pantera Negra .

The 2026 Série B ended in a final against Fluminense de Feira, and SSA lost it — 2–1 away, then 2–0 at home, 4–1 on aggregate. Second place was enough. The club goes up to the Série A of the Campeonato Baiano for 2027, its first promotion.

Richard Lima, Guilherme Reis and Ruan Miguel went on loan to Marítimo in Portugal in 2025; Mairlon Ramon joined the Palmeiras youth setup.

What SSA does not have is an opponent. Pituaçu, when the builders finish, will be waiting.
