Crown Legacy moved further clear at the summit of MLS Next Pro with a 3-1 victory over Huntsville City in the Group Stage on 2 August. The visitors took all three points in Huntsville, extending their advantage at the top of the table to 16 points. This result adds another chapter to a season where Crown have been hard to catch.
Huntsville struck first through A. Subotic in the 11th minute, but Crown responded before the break with Z. Yanez finding the net in the 45th minute. H. Mbongue then doubled his tally, opening the scoring in the 66th minute before adding a second in the 78th. Huntsville were reduced to ten men when M. Veliz was sent off in the 81st minute.
