Connor Bedard has been named captain of the Chicago Blackhawks. The 21-year-old Forward becomes the 37th captain in club history and the second-youngest to wear the "C".

Bedard was the first overall pick at the 2023 NHL Draft. In three seasons with the Blackhawks he has put up 203 points (75 goals, 128 assists) in 219 regular-season games. In July he signed a five-year contract worth 15 million dollars a season.
