About the player
Alfons Borén came up through Lerkils IF before a move to Varbergs BoIS: he scored twice in the final as Varbergs won the Halland District Championship at P17 level in 2023. That performance carried him into IFK Göteborg's academy in January 2024, and just over a year later, in February 2025, the club rewarded him with his first senior contract, a four-year deal.
Borén operates as a forward, comfortable on the wing, and wears the number 27 shirt for IFK Göteborg. A loan spell at Ljungskile SK in 2026 gave him game time away from Gothenburg, and he has since made his mark in Allsvenskan, scoring his first league goal against Kalmar FF in August 2026.
