Aboubacar Kobele Keita

Aboubacar Kobele Keita was born in New York City but grew up in Guinea before moving to Westerville, Ohio, at the age of ten. After coming through Santos Columbus FC and the club's development academy, he spent 2018 with the Virginia Cavaliers, making 17 appearances and scoring once, which earned him a place on the ACC All-Freshman Team. Columbus Crew signed him as a Homegrown Player in January 2019. A loan at Richmond Kickers followed that year, and back in Columbus he went on to make 37 league appearances, winning the MLS Cup in 2020 and the Campeones Cup in 2021.

In January 2022, Colorado Rapids paid $300,000 in General Allocation Money for him, but his first season there was wiped out by ACL surgery. He returned through Colorado Rapids 2 in 2023 before a loan to Bohemian FC in the League of Ireland was cut short by mutual agreement in August 2024. Colorado waived him shortly afterwards, and a brief stint with Columbus Crew 2 produced seven appearances and a goal before the move to Sweden.

Keita joined Kalmar FF on a free transfer in February 2025, signing a contract running to the end of 2026. He has since made 22 appearances for the club, scoring three goals. Internationally, he started all five matches for the United States at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
