He worked his way up through the reserve side, where he made 13 appearances and scored once, and added 12 senior outings in the Championnat National across the 2024–25 season.
His move to Portugal came on a free transfer in July 2025, with a contract running to the end of June 2028. Just over a year later, Turkish side Beşiktaş was reported to have made enquiries about him, his valuation put somewhere between €600,000 and €1.2 million.
He was born in Péhé, in Ivory Coast, and his full name is Davy Jean Carl Kamon Gui. His elder brother is the Ivorian rapper Suspect 95.
