Fabio Yan

At just 14, Fabio Yan joined Flamengo's youth academy, and it did not take long for him to make a name for himself. In 2021, playing for the club's under-17 side, he scored seven goals in a single match against Macaé in the Campeonato Carioca Sub-17, a game Flamengo won 8–2. He finished that Carioca campaign as its top scorer and, in the same year, helped Flamengo's youth teams sweep the Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-17, the Copa do Brasil Sub-17 and the Supercopa Sub-17. A long-range strike for the under-15 team had already caught the eye of scouts in Europe, with AC Milan among the clubs said to be watching him.

That reputation as one of Flamengo's most productive academy forwards did not translate into a big-money move. In January 2023 he left for the Emirati club Al-Jazira on a free transfer, with Flamengo keeping a 30% stake in his economic rights; some reports floated an €800,000 valuation, though no fee changed hands. He stayed a little over a year before moving on to Khorfakkan, another UAE side, where he spent a season and a half without adding to his trophy collection.

In January 2026, Yan signed for Veres Rivne on a free transfer, putting pen to paper on a three-year contract and taking on a new challenge in Ukrainian football. Since arriving, he has made 15 appearances in the Ukrainian Premier League, scoring once and setting up another goal.
