About the player
Issaka Seidu, known as "Baba", joined the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana at the age of 12 and stayed there until 2024, when he moved to FC Nordsjælland in the Danish Superliga. He was promoted to the first team in September of that year and signed a long-term contract, going on to make seven appearances for the club, five of them in the league and two in the cup, without scoring.
In the first half of the 2026 season he was sent out on loan to Ljungskile SK in the Swedish Superettan, where he made 13 to 14 appearances and scored once before the loan was ended early. On 8 July 2026 he moved to IFK Göteborg on loan from Nordsjælland, a deal running until 30 June 2027 with an option to buy. He has since made five league appearances for the Allsvenskan club.
Seidu plays as a left-footed defender and has been described as a future contender for Ghana's senior national team, though he has not yet been capped at that level.
