Jannes-Kilian Horn

Horn came up through Rot-Weiß Braunschweig before Wolfsburg took him into their academy. Köln paid around €7 million for him in June 2017, and he was part of the squad that won the 2. Bundesliga title in 2018–19. A loan spell at Hannover 96 in 2019–20 was disrupted when he tested positive for COVID-19, a result that led to the entire Hannover squad going into quarantine.

After his Köln contract ran out, Horn signed for VfL Bochum on a free transfer in 2022, but injuries took hold: a hip problem, a muscle tear and a torn meniscus restricted him to only a handful of appearances. A loan to 1. FC Nürnberg in January 2023 gave him a way back into regular football — seven starts were enough to convince Nürnberg to sign him permanently that June for a low six-figure fee, and he stayed until 2025.

In August 2024, Nürnberg loaned him to St. Louis City SC in Major League Soccer, where he made 18 appearances and set up three goals, though the American club chose not to take up the option to sign him outright. He joined SK Rapid Wien on a free transfer on 20 June 2025 and put his name to a two-year contract running to June 2027.
