About the player
Born in Ruprechtshofen, he came through 1. FC Leonhofen before joining the SKN St. Pölten academy in 2014 and making his senior debut there in 2018, though without a league appearance to his name. That same year he moved to SK Slavia Prague, but again the first team stayed out of reach, and it was on loan at FK Viktoria Žižkov that he first got regular football, contributing 14 appearances and a goal in the Czech second tier in 2018–19.
A permanent switch to FK Mladá Boleslav followed in 2019, interrupted by a second loan spell back at Viktoria Žižkov in 2020–21, where he made 20 league appearances. It was that stretch of Czech football that persuaded Rapid Wien to sign him from Mladá Boleslav in 2021 for a reported fee of €200,000. Since then the left-footed defender has established himself as a regular starter in Vienna, passing 100 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga and adding goals and Cup outings along the way.
Ralf Rangnick handed him his first senior call-up in March 2023 for Nations League fixtures against Serbia.
