About the player

Michael Heule's path to Swiss football's top flight ran through the lower divisions. After a single first-team appearance for FC St. Gallen, he moved on to FC Wil in 2021, then joined Stade Lausanne Ouchy in July 2023. Across the 2024–2025 season he made 30 appearances and contributed three goals and five assists from the back.

On 2 July 2025, Heule signed for FC Thun on a three-year contract running to 2028. Thun won the Swiss Super League title in the 2025–2026 season, Heule's first at the club. The following August, he left Switzerland altogether, joining German second-division side 1. FC Heidenheim for a fee reported to be between €2.5 million and €3.2 million.
