Mohamed Ali Diadie

Mohamed Ali Diadié's route to Portuguese football ran through a deal he had no direct part in negotiating. In September 2025, União Torreense sold defender N'Tamon Elie to Stade de Reims for €2 million plus €500,000 in performance bonuses and a future resale percentage, and Diadié moved the other way, along with Guilherme Liberato and Drammeh.

Born in France, Diadié holds French and Mauritanian nationality and represents Mauritania at international level. His football education was entirely French: he came through the youth ranks at SFC Neuilly-sur-Marne, AS Saint-Étienne, US Torcy and USL Dunkerque before joining Stade de Reims in July 2023. He spent two seasons with the club's reserve side, making 42 appearances and scoring twice, and signed his first professional contract with the main squad in June 2025. His time in the first team was brief, limited to a single appearance before the move to Portugal.

At Torreense he has become a regular fixture, wearing the number 5 shirt and reaching 29 appearances with one goal by May 2026. The club's season reached its high point when Torreense won the Taça de Portugal, beating Sporting CP in the final on 24 May 2026, with Diadié part of the squad that lifted the trophy.
