Piotr Samiec-Talar

Piotr Samiec-Talar came through the club's own academy, joining from Polonia Środa Śląska in 2017 and stepping into the Śląsk Wrocław first team the following year. He made his senior debut in a 5–0 win over Miedź Legnica, and before he had established himself at the top level he had already lifted two lower-division titles with the reserve side. Two loan spells shaped his development away from Wrocław: at Widzew Łódź he scored once in 17 appearances in the second tier, and at GKS Katowice a short stint in the Polish Cup was cut off early when the loan was terminated in December 2021.

Back at Śląsk, Samiec-Talar grew into a first-team fixture and now wears the captain's armband. His first Ekstraklasa goal came in a 2–2 draw with Jagiellonia Białystok in October 2022, and a year later he picked up the club's "Golden Talar" award after a 4–0 win over Legia Warszawa in which he scored and set up two more. He has since been nominated for the league's Player of the Month and included in the Team of the Week. A single cap for Poland's under-18 side remains his only international appearance to date, though his club form has prompted calls for a senior call-up.

His career has not been without setbacks. A knee hyperextension disrupted his pre-season in 2024/2025, and in March 2026 he was assaulted in Wrocław alongside teammate Patryk Sokołowski after a match against Puszcza Niepołomice, though he escaped serious injury. In September 2026 he suffered a broken right wrist in a match against Jagiellonia Białystok and underwent surgery. In February 2024 he signed a contract extension keeping him at Śląsk Wrocław until 2027.
