Romeo Amane

Romeo Amane came through the academy at ASEC Mimosas in Abidjan before leaving Ivory Coast for Sweden, where he joined BK Häcken's youth setup in late 2021. The move paid off quickly: he was promoted to the senior squad within a year, made his professional debut in April 2022, and went on to help Häcken win the Allsvenskan title that same season, adding the Svenska Cupen the following year. Over his time at the club he made 69 league appearances and scored five goals.

That form in Sweden brought him to Rapid Wien in January 2025, in a deal reported at around €2.5 million, a fee that made him the Austrian club's record signing at the time, surpassing what had previously been paid for Arnór Ingvi Traustason. Amane made 34 league appearances for the club.

His stock kept rising: in September 2026 he moved on again, this time to Belgian side RSC Anderlecht for a fee of around €6 million, with add-ons and a sell-on clause included for Rapid. The transfer arrived just as the new season was starting, so he is yet to make a competitive appearance in Anderlecht colours.

At international level, Amane has represented Ivory Coast at Under-23 level, though he has not yet been capped by the senior side.
