Ryan Roberto de Oliveira Dantas made his senior debut for Flamengo in January 2026, in the Campeonato Carioca. It came against Bangu, a match Flamengo lost, and lasted 21 minutes. Six months later, on 13 June 2026, Flamengo confirmed his sale to Shakhtar Donetsk.

He started out with Juventus-SP and Portuguesa-SP before joining Athletico Paranaense's academy at the age of eleven, in 2019. He stayed there until 2023, when he moved to Flamengo's youth setup. It was there that his numbers stood out: 22 goals in 37 games made him the top scorer among Flamengo's youth teams in 2025, and he also scored for the club's under-20 side in the Copa Libertadores.

That form brought silverware. With Flamengo's junior teams, he won the Copa Intercontinental Sub-20 in 2025, the Campeonato Carioca Sub-17 and Copa Rio Sub-17 in 2024, the Copa Rio Sub-17 again in 2025, and the Brasil Soccer Cup Sub-15 in 2023. The under-20 side also reached the final of the Copa Libertadores Sub-20 in 2026, though they were beaten by Santiago Wanderers.

His transfer to Shakhtar was reported at figures ranging between €9 million and €10 million, with Athletico Paranaense entitled to a share of the fee. Ryan Roberto signed a contract running until June 2031 and joined the Ukrainian club in July 2026, arriving with just two senior appearances to his name but a scoring record in youth football that had already caught wider attention.
