Saidou Alioum Moubarak

Saidou Alioum Moubarak built a reputation in Cyprus for turning up in the moments that matter most. In March 2024 he was named the most valuable player of the Nicosia derby.

His path there began far from Cyprus, at Sahel FC in his native Maroua, where he played between 2020 and 2022 before Hammarby IF, who had scouted him in 2019. A loan spell with the reserve side Hammarby Talang FF preceded a permanent, four-year contract with Hammarby's senior squad, signed in January 2023. Alioum moved to AC Omonia on a season-long loan, which the Cypriot club extended for a further year in July 2024. He made 55 league appearances and scored 12 goals, though Omonia ultimately did not take up the option to sign him outright, and he returned to Hammarby.

From there his career kept moving: a permanent transfer to IFK Göteborg in the Swedish Allsvenskan, followed by a switch to FK Jablonec in the Czech First League. At international level, Alioum won the 2019 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations with Cameroon and later featured for the under-20 side.
